SUNGLASSES FOR GENERAL USE
Intended use: These sunglasses provide protection against the risk of damage to the eyes caused by solar radiation (except when observing the sun). These sunglasses comply with the essential health and safety requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and the harmonized standards EN ISO 12312-1:2013 and EN ISO 12312-1:2013/A1:2015. Restrictions on use: Not for direct viewing of the sun or a solar eclipse. Not for protection against artificial light sources (e.g. in tanning beds). Not for use as eye protection against mechanical hazards such as impacts. In the event of an impact, the glasses may break and cause injuries to the face and eyes. Not suitable for driving at dusk or at night. Sensitivity to light and glare varies from person to person, especially in bright conditions such as in snow, on the beach, or by the open sea. It should be noted that the lighter filters in categories 0 and 1 provide excellent UV protection but only slightly reduce solar radiation in the visible range.
Storage: When the glasses are not in use and during transport, they should be stored in the original protective case at a temperature between -10°C and +35°C. Do not leave the glasses in closed, non-air-conditioned rooms (e.g., car glove compartment), as the temperatures reached under these conditions could impair their functionality. If the sunglasses become worn (e.g., scratched, dull), they should be replaced with original parts. Cleaning: Use a damp cloth and a conventional neutral cleaner and dry with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use solvents (e.g., alcohol and acetone) or aggressive chemical cleaners, which could impair the functionality of the glasses. Marking: The model identification is indicated inside the glasses and/or on the barcode. A number is indicated next to the symbol * inside the temple and/or on the barcode and/or on the cover of this information leaflet. This number corresponds to the filter category according to standard EN ISO 12312-1, as shown in the filter category table below. *4 Very high protection against extreme solar radiation, such as that encountered by the sea, snowfields, high mountains or deserts. Not suitable for driving or road use. *3 High protection against solar radiation. *2 Good protection against solar radiation. *1 Limited attenuation of solar radiation. *0 Very limited attenuation of solar radiation. Two numbers close together indicate a photochromic lens and identify the filter category of the lens in its brightest and darkest states. A "P" after the filter category indicates polarized lenses.
