The creation of Joorie was inspired by memories of the farm my family used to visit during our summer holidays. Two acres of land surrounded the small house, fenced with pine trees along the borders. Berries, figs, jasmine, petunias, chamomiles and lavender were just some of the many plants we had in the gardens. Most majestic, however, was the rose bush, which produced the most beautiful red flowers, and it was this plant that I visited daily - not only to see the sublime velvety red petals and the supreme elegance of the roses, but also to catch a hint of the sensual perfume that this rose exuded so elegantly." - Moe Khalaf (Founder & Kajal Creative Officer).
This was the main inspiration for the fragrance of Joorie. In collaboration with Drom perfumer Alix Miral, a masterpiece was created.
An inviting and warm nutmeg/clove note forms the opening haze of Joorie. Lemon and bergamot add a freshness to the fragrance - traces of ginger and pepper linger not far behind.
The heart of the fragrance is permeated with rose, with fruity, almost banana-like notes of ylang-ylang and orange blossom.
The base notes and finish of the fragrance are a beautiful honey scent wrapped in musk, tonka beans and a woody sandalwood/cedar blend that leaves a lasting impression on the wearer and keeps you wanting more.
